Two different worlds…
In the city and the countryside there are good things and bad things.
In a city it’s easier to have access to useful public services such as hospitals, shopping centres, supermarkets and we have everything very near and always available. We don't have to travel to places that far away, but in the city, there is a lot of pollution and there is a lot of traffic.
In the countryside there is a healthier diet based on biological products and the relationship between people is closer than in the cities. Few people go to college and there’s a smaller job offer which makes many young people leave the countryside!

Sometimes it’s so difficult to choose
between the city and the countryside…
Even though I like living in the city, I would also love living in the countryside. It's so peaceful, calm and quiet there, and I would know all my neighbors. Now that I think about it, I prefer the city, there I have shopping centers, libraries, etc. I’m too indecisive, I can't choose, both lifestyles are different, but amazing!

The beauty of the countryside…
The countryside, a peaceful place, but with certain secrets behind it. It takes me to another world, so quiet, so calm, makes me dream about my future and all the things that I want in my life. I know it’s a wonderful place, but the countryside has its problems, some of the most important public facilities are not in the best conditions to take care of sick people, for example: some hospitals have very few doctors. The city, has some beautiful places and the public facilities are more modern and comfortable. But the city has the dark side, the side of the poor population, the homelessness, exhausting lifestyles and all the horrible suffering that we see poor people going through. It just breaks my heart! That’s why I live in the countryside, where I can escape from the real world and where I can find peace in my dreams.

In love with the countryside!
Hi! My dream is to live in a detached house in the countryside. Why in the countryside? Well, I like quiet places without much noise so I can listen to the sounds of nature that make me feel so calm! This sounds very cliché, but the truth is I like to be quiet, even if sometimes I don’t let it show. Besides that, I'm a very nosey person, so I would love gossiping with my neighbours.

The city is the work of Man…
If someone would ask me: "Where do you want to live, for the rest of your life?" I would definitely answer: "In the city, of course!" Why? That’s an easy one to answer, because of the weird nature that it has. The noise of the cars, people talking, you just never get any kind of silence and that is so awesome – there’s always movement! Every single moment.
The countryside is the exactly the opposite: it’s always quite silent, almost no noise and no tall buildings to watch the sunset reflected in their windows. It’s boring…
That’s why I prefer much more the city instead of the countryside!

The unexpected advantages of living in the city…
I prefer the city because the sky is grey, the sun doesn't shine as bright, the pollution in the air is refreshing and the way that if you stay too much time down in a Subway station the air starts getting hard to breath. The way everything is too crowded and small or how the cars passing are louder than a bird's singsong, it's all so relaxing.

Choosing the best way to live in both
landscapes…
Hi! In my opinion, living in
the city or living in the countryside have both advantages. If you live in the city,
you have all facilities you need you , many cultural activities, better health
care systems, varied shops, better job opportunities, etc. There are more
people in the city, so every day you see and you get to know new people. But
there are always disadvantages, as pollution, noise, traffic and a more stressful
lifestyle. In the countryside, you can have a quiet life, you probably know all
of your neighbours, you can be in touch with nature, you have better quality
food (vegetables, fruits, meat), etc. There are some disadvantages, as not
existing such varied educational offer as in the city or job opportunities,
there are less hospitals and health care centres, there are less culture
activities like concerts or theatre plays. I can’t choose between city or countryside
and thank God I don’t need to, because I live in the city during the week and
on week-ends or holidays I often go to the countryside to my grandparents’
house.
